These offerings include virtual or in-person courses and are free of charge and open to the public. Courses are:
Budgeting – One-hour course
Focused on understanding personal finance with a hands-on approach. We will discuss together where your finances stand and use activities like recreating a mock monthly budget.
Credit 101 – One-and-a-half-hour course
Create understanding how credit is typically reported, how the credit scoring process works and common credit issues. We will focus on ways to manage and establish credit in a positive direction.
Banking Basics – One-hour course
Discuss the pros of having a bank account, managing an account, and how to get banked (second chance checking) when a traditional account is not achievable for some.
Homeownership Education – Two-hour course
Share best practices on how to obtain a mortgage and the types available, shopping for a home, and protecting your investment.
